I’m Tyson Pearce, a competitive youth fly fisherman based in Rotorua, New Zealand. I fish around Rotorua and across New Zealand and spend as much time as I can learning, training and improving on the water.
I’m part of the New Zealand Youth Fly Fishing Team and Pearce Fly Co. is being built around my love of fly fishing, the gear I use and the experience I gain through fishing and competing.
Road to Slovakia.
I’ve been selected to represent New Zealand as part of the youth fly fishing team heading to Slovakia in July 2027. Leading up to the trip I’ll be competing around New Zealand, attending training camps, being mentored and spending plenty of time on rivers and lakes preparing for international competition.
